About

Wertzbaugher Services began in 2012 when Jason and Lisa Wertzbaugher opened a welding and fabrication business to provide commercial trailer repair services to local companies.  Prior to that Jason had spent several years working on large farms in the agricultural industry, honing his welding skills and gaining experience as a CDL driver.

At first, Wertzbaugher Services focused on trailer repair for one or two local companies, but as the company grew and became more well-known, they picked up customers in a variety of industries including concrete construction, agriculture, commercial property, manufacturing, construction, and many more.

As the company grew, capital investments were made to expand into various types of welding – MIG for carbon steel, TIG for stainless, aluminum, and galvanized steel.  Fabrication projects expanded from commercial trailer repair to building structures, ag implement repair, truss work, and custom fabrication.

In 2016, Wertzbaugher Services started providing freight services for some fabrication customers.  The trucking side of the business has grown exponentially over the past five years.  The company now provides trucking services across the United States with dry van and roll-tarp flat bed service.  The company can haul hot loads and short runs, and provides expedite services upon request.

The company is still privately owned by the Wertzbaughers, and occupies about 8,000 square feet right off of Hwy 6 outside of West Liberty.  This new location is right on the highway with easy access in and out.  It is centrally located between Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, and the Quad Cities.
