Wertzbaugher Services is a van and fleet upfitter located conveniently in Eastern Iowa. We provide repair and upfitting services for commercial vehicles, commercial equipment, and vans. We convert van shells for mobile services that require plumbing and electrical features. We also fabricate and weld storage components, racking systems, and trailer hitches to modify commercial trucks and equipment.

Vans and Fleets
Wertzbaugher Services works on projects of all sizes. We upfit work vans for commercial service work by installing electrical, plumbing, storage racks, generator storage, and more. We install van shelving solutions to maximize the workspace and organize tools.
Many of our customers use heavy duty work vans for projects that require high voltage power and water. We add plumbing systems to vans and incorporate complex electrical systems to support generators and powers supplies of various wattages.
Van racking and van shelving systems are our specialty. We work with the customer to design custom shelving and storage solutions. Our shelving and racking systems are built with high quality metal and welding processes.

Flatbed trucks
Wertzbaugher Services installs flatbed systems on heavy duty work trucks. We have experience with a variety of flatbed manufacturers and can install most systems. You can procure your own flatbed or we can work directly with the manufacturer to order what you need. Flatbeds can ship directly to Wertzbaugher Services. Our customers depend on us for high-quality flatbed installations with a short lead time.
Work Truck Modification
We can also design and fabricate storage cabinets and racking systems for heavy duty work trucks and trailers. Wertzbaugher Services installs bumper hitches and fifth wheel hitches. We also design and build custom cabinets and storage solutions for work tools.
We can work off the customer’s design, or we can do the design work. We can also replicate a storage and racking system that already exists. Our technicians go on site at the customer location to capture measurements and design features. We then work in our shop to fabricate an exact replica.
Wertzbaugher Services builds ladder racks, racking systems, and shelving units. All of these features and more help to maximize efficiency of a heavy-duty work truck.
Location and lead time
Located on Highway 6 just outside of Iowa City, we are easy to find and easy to access. We supply upfit vans and fleets from all over the Midwest. We work with a variety of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. We have reliable raw material and parts vendors who deliver on a short lead time.
