Wertzbaugher Services has been awarded a $60,000 Industry 4.0 technology investment grant from the State of Iowa. The funding will match company investment to purchase new manufacturing equipment that supports continued growth and increasing demand.
The company is expanding its infrastructure to support 25% growth in 2026 while continuing to serve a diverse range of industries across the United States—including custom welding, contract manufacturing, and trailer and farm equipment repair.
Owners Jason and Lisa Wertzbaugher point to several industry shifts driving that growth, including the reshoring of U.S. manufacturing, increased automation, expansion of data center infrastructure, and rising demand for custom returnable racks and dunnage.
“RFQs and orders are increasing,” said Jason Wertzbaugher. “We are leveraging this grant to buy equipment so we can pull in fabrication processes we currently outsource. Bringing these capabilities entirely in-house allows us to improve lead times, improve quality control, and control costs.”

Wertzbaugher Services is investing in new equipment and Industry 4.0 technologies to expand its capabilities as a domestic manufacturing partner while supporting the growth of Iowa’s industrial economy.
If you have a project that could benefit from additional in-house fabrication or improved lead times, contact Wertzbaugher Services to discuss your requirements.
